Sex and Relationship Insights from a Professional Matchmaker with Anika Rashuan

Today's guest Anika Rashaun is a professional matchmaker who says there is no science in the art of love and matchmaking. Plenty of people know they want to be in a relationship but far too few of us know what we actually want in a partner and what kind of relationship we want. That's why I love what Anika does. Her work with her clients forces people to get really clear on what they want, what they don't want, and what their non-negotiables are.

After working as a matchmaker for nearly five years now, Anika shares that many people think they stop changing once they're in a relationship, but in fact, we are constantly evolving -- and relationships are different with different people. In this episode, she and I talk about the qualities that matchmakers consider when searching for potential partners and how she figures out if two people are a good match for each other. We also talk about the many ways that dating has changed in the past 10 years and specifically how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting romantic relationships.

Anika Rashaun is one of the highly trained professional matchmakers in Three Day Rule, a boutique matchmaking company advocating for no more random swiping, hand-selected matches, date feedback advantage, and no blind dates. She’s also the CEO of #AskAnika, her lifestyle brand specializing in breakup therapy, self-confidence building, and dating and relationship counseling.

Listen in to find out what we can learn from past relationships to grow into our future ones and why we should want, but not need, a relationship.
