Today's episode connected so many dots for me. Through her unbelievably challenging life experiences, Marci Warhaft has managed to reclaim herself and her life in the most unexpected ways.
From a young age, Marci related her self-worth to her body image and she developed disordered eating habits that wreaked havoc on her physical and mental health. Once she came to relate her eating habits to her self-worth, she began to reassess the root causes of her unhappiness. I love that she regularly asks herself: is it enough for me? Now she is a body image advocate. In this episode, Marci and I discuss when we should reassess the important relationships in our lives and how she broke out of the cycle of self-loathing. We also talk about ways to cultivate self-confidence and rediscover your self-worth.
Marci Warhaft is a self-esteem coach, author and is the central voice behind Fit vs. Fiction. Her work focuses on empowering others to release shame so they can live fully and authentically. She firmly believes that women need more safe places to freely engage in conversations about sex.
Listen in as Marci and I examine when to stay and when to go, the root cause of the fear of being alone, and how to cope with that fear.
